  • Fresno State's Melloh Earns Easton All-American Honors
    Freshman pitching sensation Morgan Melloh continues to rack up awards after softball season as she was named a first team Easton All-American. Melloh is one of 14 student-athletes from across the country to be named to the first team and the only representative from the WAC.

  • Nevada's Micka and Fresno State's Melloh Earn All-America Honors
    A pair of freshmen earned second team All-America honors by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, Fresno State pitcher, Morgan Melloh, and Nevada catcher, Noelle Micka. Melloh led the Bulldogs in the circle with a 42-9 record, guiding the team to its best record (54-13) since the 1999 season. Micka led the Wolf Pack to their first-ever WAC regular season title and a 44-18 record.

  • Softball NCAA Tournament Central
    Louisiana Tech's magical run came to an end on Sunday when Texas A&M defeated the Lady Techsters, 6-0 to advance to the NCAA Super Regionals. Fresno State got one of the two wins it needed against Cal but fell in the second, 7-6 in nine innings. Hawai`i fell to Arizona State, 8-0 in five innings, while Nevada lost to UCLA, 4-3.

  • Ten Named to All-West Region Softball Team
    Ten Western Athletic Conference softball players earned Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I all-West Region honors. Three University of Hawai`i softball players were selected for this prestigious honor. Nevada placed a school-record three players on the NFCA all-West Region softball team, including first-team selection Noelle Micka. Senior Vanessa Briones and sophomore Katie Holverson were named to the all-Region second team.Seniors Kaulana Gould and Kate Robinson were named to the West region first-team and Brandi Peiler was named to the second team. Fresno State four on the team as Morgan Melloh, Haley Gilleland and Jenna Cervantez earned first team honors and Aja Scheuber was named to the second team.

  • WAC Sends Four to NCAA Softball Tournament
    For the first time since 1995, the Western Athletic Conference will send four softball teams to the NCAA Tournament. WAC Tournament champion, Louisiana Tech will be joined by Fresno State, Nevada and Hawai`i in postseason this year. In 1995, Fresno State, Cal State Northridge, Sacramento State and Utah were the quartet advancing to the postseason.
